A Whimsical Little Art Shop in Saluda You Might Never Want to Leave

I love sharing with you the little places you might otherwise drive right past. The unexpected finds, the tucked-away shops, and the places that remind you how much magic is hiding in our mountain towns. So put this sweet spot on your list: eARThly Minds Gallery in Saluda

This precious place will completely suck you in. You might walk through the door thinking you’ll take a quick look around, but before you know it, you’re discovering one whimsical creation after another, wondering how so much talent could fit inside one little shop. Honestly, you’ll want to stay for hours.

Everywhere you look, there’s something different. The shop owner’s mother has crocheted entire dolls, each with its own personality. You’ll find paintings on linen, stitched artwork, handmade art magnets, jewelry, and all sorts of wonderfully unexpected creations. Then there are the resin sculptures made with treasures found in nature, transforming natural elements into extraordinary works of art.

Every Piece Has a Story

One of my favorite things about visiting eARThly Minds is watching Sabrina share the stories behind the artists whose work fills her shop. She knows their names, what they create, and what makes each person special. As she walks you through the gallery, you’re not simply looking at things for sale. You’re getting little glimpses into the lives and creativity of the people behind them.

There’s something special about a shop owner who knows the hands that made the art under her roof and genuinely loves telling you about them. That personal connection makes the experience feel less like shopping and more like discovering a whole community of artists.

And there’s always something happening here, too. The gallery offers workshops and creative activities, including a fun take-one-make-one experience where visitors can make little pottery people. It’s the kind of hands-on activity that makes the shop especially fun for families and kids.

There’s also a raffle featuring a painting by a local artist, complete with an incredible frame that caught my eye. It’s worth asking Sabrina about the current raffle and how to enter when you visit.

The gallery has also recently received recognition with an award, FAVORITE ART GALLERY OF THE FOOTHILLS, another reason to put this little creative spot on your Saluda list.

I actually went in to do a feature on the shop and left with a bag full of things. That probably tells you everything you need to know.

Make a Day of Exploring Saluda

The primary suite offers a Tempur-Pedic king bed, access to a private deck, and an en suite bathroom with dual vanities, a walk-in shower, and a freestanding tub overlooking the forest.

Part of the fun of visiting eARThly Minds is discovering everything tucked into this little corner of Saluda. The gallery is located in Nostalgia Courtyard, directly across from the Saluda Tailgate Market area. Look for the whimsical entrance and the bubbles from the bubble machine welcoming you inside.

While you’re there, take time to explore the other businesses nearby, including Wildflour Bakery, known for its fresh-baked goodies and pizza nights on select evenings, and Mewdlic’s Tea Lounge with live music.

It’s a lovely little collection of independent shops where you can browse, grab something delicious, and discover more local treasures.

And if you’d like to add a little nature to your outing, Pearson’s Falls is just down the road. Reservations are required, so plan ahead before visiting.

It’s the perfect excuse to spend an afternoon in Saluda, supporting local businesses, discovering local artists, and enjoying the kind of unexpected finds that make exploring our mountain towns so much fun.
