Guess What’s Coming to the Antique Tobacco Barn…

After 9 months of devastation and hard work, one of Asheville’s most iconic vintage destinations has reopened — and they’ve got something totally new in the works. A specialty bar is being built in the back of the barn.
Yes, you read that right. Stay tuned — because vintage shopping is about to come with a side of cheers in a cup.

The Antique Tobacco Barn Is Back — And Better Than Ever

One of Asheville’s most beloved vintage experiences has officially reopened.

After nearly nine months of closure due to flooding from Hurricane Helene, the Antique Tobacco Barn reopened on June 27, 2025 — and longtime fans couldn’t be more excited. Known for its massive 77,000-square-foot maze of antiques, architectural salvage, vintage furniture, and quirky collectibles, “the Barn” has been a local favorite for years.

The flood damage last fall was no joke — but neither is this comeback. Thanks to extensive repairs, a newly regraded parking area across the street, and the dedication of 75+ independent vendors, the Barn is once again packed with treasures and buzzing with energy.

Why It Matters

The Antique Tobacco Barn isn’t just a place to shop — it’s a creative cornerstone in Asheville’s community. Whether you’re a local decorating your dream home or a visitor hoping to stumble on something special, the Barn invites curiosity, nostalgia, and discovery.

Its reopening is more than just good news — it’s a hopeful sign of just how strong and resilient our local businesses are, especially after Helene.
