Hickory Nut Gap's 7th Annual Sausage Festival is here, and we're so excited to have our fall season's crowning event back on the farm — so raise your steins high!

Out in the Big Barn, we celebrate everything sausage — the ultimate in whole-animal utilization that pairs best with kraut, brews, pretzels, and mustard! Local polka music, artisan vendors, and fun festivities fill the day. Oktoberfest and fall-themed costumes are heartily encouraged! (Extra points for silly sausage themes...)

• Live Music by Marion's own premier party polka band, Das OomPapas

• Fermentation Basics Demo by Meg Chamberlain, the pickle princess of Fermenti Foods

• See How the Sausage Gets Made — live sausage-making demo by Butcher Brian

• Local Vendors & Craftsmen, just in time for holiday shopping

• Adults-Only Musical Chairs Competition — grand prize is a $150 HNG Meat Sampler

• Pass the Pretzel Game, fun for kids small and tall

In addition, this will be our last weekend to enjoy Fall Festivities! Pony rides and hayrides by our sister nonprofit Project HNG, plus apples, cider, and more!

Raffle for a Good Cause

Bring a little cash for our raffle to benefit WNC Food Waste Solutions, a community of volunteers working together to reduce food waste in Western North Carolina.

🎟 Raffle tickets are only $5 each, and prizes include (but aren’t limited to):

• A local goodie basket featuring our wonderful vendors and HNG Salamis — perfect for holiday prep

• A sampler selection of HNG Sausages & Dogs to stock your freezer

• A Pasture Raised Thanksgiving Turkey or Ham (winner’s choice) from right here on the farm

By purchasing your ticket online you will be on our Will Call list; admission will be checked in at the Cabana!
